Its open-cell structure allows for three-dimensional root development, ensuring dense anchoring that reinforces the stability of grassed areas and improves their resistance to foot traffic and occasional vehicle passage.
For gravel applications, its geometry provides excellent mechanical strength, limits gravel displacement and ensures uniform load distribution while promoting natural rainwater infiltration. It also improves walking comfort in pedestrian areas.
Combined with the PAV65 slabs, Ocity slabs offer great flexibility in urban design by combining pavers, grass and gravel depending on project needs. They enhance the aesthetics of urban layouts by integrating vegetated zones into driveable areas, such as green strips in parking spaces, accompanied by wheel tracks made with pavers installed on PAV65 slabs.

Excavate the soil and check the permeability of the subgrade.
If permeability is insufficient, a safety drainage system is recommended.
Install an anti-contamination geotextile.
Depending on the subgrade, prepare the load-bearing and draining foundation layer.
Stabilise edges using borders.
Compact in successive layers.
Prepare the foundation with a screeded and compacted bedding layer.

Slabs are installed progressively according to the initial layout plan.
Cutting is possible around the edges but should not be done in traffic zones; cuts should ideally be placed in non-trafficked areas.
Lay the first row of slabs along the longest border, positioning the fixings in the direction of progress. Then lay the second row and repeat.
Once slabs are installed, fill them with the appropriate infill material.
