Gravel driveway entrance

Gravel stabilisation grids for aesthetic and permeable exterior landscaping

For this residential project, the owner of a newly built house wanted to create a driveable gravel driveway entrance, while maintaining soil permeability and a natural landscape appearance.
The solution had to be technical, durable and easy to install: NIDAGRAVEL honeycomb gravel stabilisers quickly emerged as the ideal choice.

Project Context and Challenges

Strong environmental and technical constraints

In a context where reducing soil sealing has become essential, the driveway had to allow natural infiltration of rainwater.

The project included several challenges:

  • A slight slope requiring excellent gravel retention (up to 10%)
  • Occasional passage of light vehicles, requiring good mechanical resistance
  • Aesthetic requirement: maintaining a natural look in harmony with the house exterior

Objectives Defined

The specifications required:

  • A stable, driveable and permeable surface
  • No runoff or standing water
  • A long-lasting aesthetic result, without ruts or gravel migration
  • A quick and easy installation method

Chosen Solution
