A clean, stable and year-round accessible walkway using Nidagravel 129 honeycomb gravel grids
To improve access between the house and the waste/wood storage area, a stabilised gravel path was built to replace a shaded, north-facing grassed area.
Frequently waterlogged, the zone became muddy and impassable for much of the year.
Nidagravel 129 panels made it possible to create a durable, draining and perfectly stable path, even in wet conditions.

Project Context and Challenges
Turning a muddy access into a stable and aesthetic gravel walkway
The previous path, made of poorly lit grass, retained moisture and became slippery, uneven and difficult to use.
The homeowner’s goals were to:
- eliminate muddy areas,
- create a stable path all year long,
- obtain an aesthetic, low-maintenance result,
- preserve a natural look around the garden.
Advantages of the Nidagravel gravel stabiliser
A fully permeable walkway
High resistance to foot traffic and occasional loads
(a vehicle can drive on it without sinking)Excellent gravel stability over time (no lateral migration into the lawn)
Simple, fast installation: the compact 129+ size fits in a car boot
Easy to integrate decorative elements (stepping stones, rocks, slate) thanks to cut-to-shape panels
(example here: a curved edge and stepping stones integrated)
Solution Implemented with Nidaplast
