Excavate the ground. Depending on the nature of the subgrade and once bearing capacity has been measured, create a draining foundation layer.
Cover the foundation with a 3 to 5 cm bedding layer of 2/5 or 3/7 gravel.
Compact and level the entire surface.
Concrete edging must be installed traditionally.
A geotextile can be placed between the bedding layer and the slabs.
Begin laying the slabs at one end of the site, orienting the fixing systems in the direction of installation.
The slabs must be laid 5 cm away from edging and any hard points (inspection chambers, manholes, etc.) to avoid lifting (expansion joint).
A movement joint must be installed for any length exceeding 10 m or more than 4 parking spaces to secure the installation.
Vibrate the empty slabs, then fill them with gravel until flush. Once filled, vibrate again and top up to refusal.
